Another street race death in oakland
wasnt a pretty site. Id pay to have that 7thr street closed for street races and give the money to the community its a nice street

That just isn't too smart. Don't they have organized racing events around here? Or is it that "we're keeping it real by still racing in the city!" There's just too many factors that can come into play by screwing around on city streets. I always think, Christ- what if I killed a kid on a bike or something or myself. Just not worth it.

wait did the guy die trying to evade the cops or in a race... the article was unclear on this
ok well anyways my assholish thoughts on this are they were probably racing in a straight line which is lame first off, second off if they were racing in a straight line it coulda happened at the track too... although maybe more safety equipment would be in place

he was running away. 7th st is some what safe for drag. i'm not promoting it or saying it's safe. But from what i understand, all the deaths that come out of the 7th street runs are from chases and gang related shooting. there hasn't been any crashes caused just from racing.
