while they are not completly abandoned, there is a rail extension going up to davenport through santa cruz.
Also there is that roaring camp up in Felton http://www.roaringcamp.com/
steam engines, nothing makes for a better pic!

I know of a couple short pretty industrial looking sections. I used em for photo-shoots n stuff. Drop me a line if you're really interested in a section and I'll try n point you out a few areas up in San Francisco.
Like I said, these are pretty small and short areas of track though...
