At least someone has made up for the lack of American *****.
Afghan soldiers beheaded four Taliban fighters after guerrillas cut off the heads of an Afghan interpreter for U.S.-led forces and an Afghan soldier.
He said government troops later captured and killed four Taliban guerrillas in the same way.
"They cut off their heads with a knife, so when our forces arrested four Taliban, we cut off their heads too."

yup.... that is why we turn over prisoners to them. Probably the same reason we'll turn over saddam. We can't really do anything because we are a "civilized" country and have rules for reasonable punishment, trials, etc. But over there they do whatever the hell they want. It's crazy.
Maybe now that they see that they may possibly face the same fait they are dishing out they will calm down.

I am glad those aholes got it, but so what. What good does it do for us in either Iraq or Afghanistan?
$hit, at least the terrorists had it broadcast on Al Jazeera.
The point is we need Iraq and Afghanistan to use the same rule-sets that we do, i.e, federal law, state/provincial law, use of technology, integration into the world economy, civil rights for every citizen, etc...
I am happy today for this tiny little victory, but in the long run we need both these countries to join other neighboring welterweight societies (Korea, Thailand, India, Tawian) who have decided to become part of the globalization within that region.
When they can do this in the next 24 mos we will see success. We can't pressure these welterweights into supporting Afghanistan, we need to help Afghanistan prove over the next two years that investment into their country is safe and and has a return.
OK, sorry for the hijack.
