yeah, Im sure it would have been much more appropriate to say
"Full-Time/Part-Time Mexican Wanted."

or maybe they were serious and were looking for one of these guys...

I always go to TapX in Cupertino. When I was there last time my friend pointed it out to me. According to her, it is what Chinese people refer to Mexicans by, but she couldnt believe they actually posted it like that for all to see. She says it isnt really meant as a racist comment and since i dont know I took her word for it.

yeah my mom refers to our gardeners as amigos all the time. and she always says gracias to busboys and waiters every time we're at at a restarant if they look Mexican.

I keep asking her why she says that, but so far, no answer.

still doesnt address the fact that it would be no less appropriate to post

"Full-Time/Part-Time Mexican Wanted."

or am I the only one that feels that way

BTW, I consider myself a part-time Mexican, can I get the yob? I LOVE boba!

My mom does that crap at restaurants and she works at a Denny's. It's f*cking embarrassing. That's why I never eat at American restaurants with my parents anymore. It's like a Mexican walking into a Chinese restaurant going, "Hey pung yao (friend)! Can I get a bui (cup)?" while signaling a drinking motion. Bah, parental/older FOBs don't know any better even if we ABC's teach 'em the right way. It's sad how they're still stubborn about their stupid and embarrassing (as well as insulting) habits.

lol

i think every race exhibits racism to some extent, but some individuals are blatently more ignorant and obvious than others.

my mom does the same thing. when she needs garden work, she'll go down to home depot where she'll hire some 'amigos' to weed the lawn. i had to literally tell her they weren't called amigos, but people.
