It's my brother's Sigma. He wanted to get a Nikon 500mm but it was $4k. This one isn't bad at all. Some of those shots I took went through the wire fence and you can barely make it out in some of the pics. That is one heavy a** lens though. I was hurting by the end of the day !

Yeah, same here. I might opt for a 150-500 due to optical stabilization, but damn, to have that kind of zoom, and such great pictures at F6.3, awesome. I know you have be out on a sunny day for it to work out like this, but that's what we usually have around here anyways.

Thanks bro, actually I bought mine off of craigslist! I was gonna get that same lens, but I figured for another $150 or so a used with a lens hood and UV filter was worth it! I got all that for $400. I believe the 55-250mm is just under $300. I wanted the USM motor for a little bit faster/quieter focus as well as the mount is metal as opposed to plastic. But hey, you get the best that your money can buy! I have seen some nice shots with that lens though!
