Your's are turning out great too.

Jay-Jay, just play around in the post processing, thats where you can bring out a lot of color if it isn't already there. I've been using Adobe Lightroom for this whole series, and I'm loving it. With my first three Ferrari shots I was able to copy all the settings from the first one and apply it to the second so the colors were all the same...and it cut down on the processing time

Oh, no... it wasn't a joke. :-|

I'll work on my pics tonight. I don't add that fancy black border and my photoshop skills suck, so if they're not up tonight, it's because I was lazy.

What sort of "tools" did you use in photoshop or w/e to clear this up?

and original

levels alone is enought to get rid of the haze. Just moving the sliders until you hit the graph going up...i guess thats pixel info for that light range on the slider?

Just Photoshop, like Kyle said a little levels, or maybe even curves it depends really on the histogram. A little sharpening of details using high pass etc.

^so whats the order to start with? because if you modify something, THEN do levels, the levels are all choppy and non organic looking...so i always assumed work with levels first, but does it matter after that?

Kyle, I usually start with levels to see the histogram, if there are flat spots on the whites, or blacks I usually slide those to the foot of the levels. The I adjust the mids to try and balance it out in case it's too under or over exposed. Curves are nice in adjusting an already fairly well lit photo that has a good value range, and allows you to fine tune specific values for a better overall balance. The ultimate goal with these specific adjustments for me is to adjust the image to have as smooth/clean a curve of values as possible, obviously this will vary greatly from photo to photo. As you use these tools I try to be cognitive about not crunching the whites of darks to the point of losing details on the edges of wither highlights or shadows. Hopefully that makes some sense!
