Thanks all for the nize werdz, you guys rock!
I had my camera on TV started with 200th down to 160th (per some suggestions from different folks on different forums, until I was comfortable. Then once I got the swing of it I would adjust the shutter to how fast the cars were going. Also adjusted the shutter and ISO as it got darker. As you can see in the dusk and night shots I'm up to 1600 just to get a fast enough shutter speed. Super grainy, but I think it makes for a nice stylistic shot!
Like I mentioned before I would look at peoples pics that I really liked and checked to see if there EXIF data was available, and roughly logged that info
in my head.
Tiff seemed really nice, and I was so nervous I didn't say too much, nor did I want to bombard him as people were starting to trickle in to talk to him! He wasn't big headed or anything, pretty much down to earth, laid back. He seemed to really enjoy the lil ones!
