My car makes 400 whp. I freely and regretfully admit that my car was more fun when it made 50 less whp than it does now. More =/= better.

On cars driven on the street I personally think anything over 350 is a complete waste.

When you start hitting 4-5-600 horsepower you start needing more and more tire, more and more aero, more brake, and more space.

If you put down too much power and you don't have the tire and aero to make it stick then it's just so you can pull your dick out and wave around your dyno sheet.

It's even an issue with race cars.

I disagree with you, at the same time i have to agree with you. Reason why im selling my car is because ive taken it too far for my DD needs. Others dont think so..

Anything 500+ is ridiculous. But being in the 400whp club is a beautiful thing. I have the brakes and suspension suspension to match. I agree you need a well rounded car.

Bottom line 400whp-450whp= the bees knees

So much truth in this. My gst-x put down 540awhp on a mustang dyno and the thing was stupid on the street. Even with drag radials the power delivery was so violent that first and usually second gear was absolutely pointless. You were in get arrested territory before you knew it. It was much more fun at 400ish hp.
