Elvis got rich off black music.. That's not brilliant.. It's a rip off.

Carradine got rich off an asian martial art turned tv show. (stolen from Bruce Lee) Could he even really do Kung FU? Should have been Bruce Lee.. Jeet Kun Do BABYYYYYYYY..

Yeah, I always disliked that guy... Could never watch Kung Fu because he was white, and the fact that he stole Bruce Lee's role. Bleh, I didn't shed a tear, thats for sure.

Too young for Kung Fu, but I did like Kung Fu the Legend Continues though. It was a little more modern.

I've seen a few biographies on him and apparently at the time of the TV series he didn't know a single thing about any martial arts.

Damm, I watched Kung Fu every week when I was a kid.. Such a loss.. I met him at Knott's Berry Farm in the late 70's...

From another article:

Actor David Carradine, star of the 1970s U.S. television show "Kung Fu," was found naked and hanging dead from a rope in the closet of his luxury Bangkok hotel room on Thursday, Thai police said.

yeah .. see that's what I mean. It's the elvis example. Elvis takes black music.. has ghost writers.. steals his style and moves from real talent and makes tons of money while the real talent doesnt even get writing credit nor a record deal.

Kung Fu carrodine coudnt do kung fu, Didnt know anything about martial arts, wasn't asian like his character was supposed to be, and there was no action (from what i saw in five episodes) in the series. People can change and the spiritual path david went on because of that show is remarkable. The guy had depth. It is a loss but the way he got his start almost offsets the loss. Eff it.

Like Mili Vanilli

Those backup singers that did the actual singing should have gotten the credit, but because they weren't that great looking the chose to put mili and vanilli up as front men even though they didn;t sing a word.

A bunch of total BS.

I hate Elvis too.

I don't believe Bruce Lee would have been nearly as good in the role, because his acting was mainly action movies where a lot of violence was included in the plot. I'm not sure that he would have been able to pull off a quiet, unassuming role as a monk who didn't resort to violence at every given opportunity.

If you watch interviews with him or biographies of his life, you'll see that the highlighted part above was more in-line with his true nature. Now does that mean he'd be able to successfully act in such a role? Who knows.

I heard he hung himself

"Carradine was in Bangkok for filming of the movie "Stretch," being produced by a United Kingdom-based company, she said."
