Wow, I can't believe they STOPPED traffic on 880 to do this! That's f'ing insane!

I don't care that they did stupid stuff that endangered each others lives, I care that they caused TRAFFIC! People who cause traffic jams need to me jammed in the *** by a big rig!

PS: I may or may not have done donuts on the freeway as well, only when I did it the freeway was shut down and I was the only one on it and not another car in sight for miles... Again, I may or may not have done this at some period in the near past.

Moral of the story: If you're going to do something stupid, make sure you are the ONLY one involved in every sense and you don't pose a threat to ANYONE other than yourself.

You know,

I really wish we had more race tracks. It really truly takes the speed/car stunt bug out of you.
There is nothing like taking Turn 8 at Thunderhill at 100mph or barreling down the corkscrew at Laguna Seca. I am sure plenty of guys enjoyed drifting at Altamount.

But the truth is that any and all opportunities is slowly going away. I was pretty young when they closed Baylands Raceway Park in Fremont. Some people resort to doing nothing, these guys do haphazard showboating in the middle of the freeway.

We may laugh at their myspace page. We may wish to see the ultimate punishment of the law come down on them. Honestly, I feel piety that there isn't a safe place for a person to play with their car, so that those people and us, and all our cars, could all be safe.

I too think there are too few venues to have fun with your car. But bottom line, it's hard to make a good business model that allows the average moron to pay his money and do stuff, and not have massive liability. The drag strip is probably the closest thing to something that would work. Laguna Seca is relatively close to me, but it's such a high profile track that it's very expensive to do HDPE's at.

We need more places that are more accessible to the masses.

That being said, there still is no excuse for dumbfoks to stop traffic like that.
