71 yr old man stops attempted robbers
Street justice for thugs! Props to the old guy here, because he looked pretty composed and handled himself well. Decided to post this in response to the "knock out" thread, since the punks sometimes get more than they were looking for.
Whole story:
Charges unlikely against man who shot robbers | Gainesville.com
OCALA - The Internet cafe patron who shot and injured two men as they tried to rob the business will likely not face any criminal charges.
“Based on what I have seen and what I know at this time, I don't anticipate filing any charges,” said Bill Gladson of the State Attorney's Office for 5th Judicial Circuit.
Samuel Williams, 71, who fired the shots, has a concealed weapons permit, according to the Sheriff's Office. Under Florida law, a person is allowed to use deadly force if he or she fears death or serious injury to themselves or others. As long as the person isn't committing a crime and is in a place where he or she has a right to be, they are considered to be acting within the law.

Its only a shame he didn't kill them both, and save the taxpayers a load of money.

Technically, you CAN carry concealed in Cali. IF you live in a place that will issue a permit, and there are VERY few of those. The thing about that though, that does not include most cities - each city has the ability to restrict that, and pretty much all of them do.

Each county (sherriff) has discression if they issue or not, but once you have a lisence, no city/county can alter the rules of that lisence.
So, say you get your lisence in alameda county(Good luck ) san francisco city can't say boo to you as long as you folow the CA laws for CCW. There is no opt out in this state, so signs that say "no guns" unless on a federal/state building or 1000 feet of a school are invalid, and so on.

Sort of half right...
