Did you guys install it yourself or had it done? It looks very slick and professionally done.

Nothing like a 350ci that can take 250-300 shot all day. You put more than 100 shot on a WRX and you could be picking up pieces of the engine. Never mind you would have half the Bay Area PD 's after you.

Does the AWD system work well on those trucks? I always thought that they are basically RWD till needed but how fast does it transfer power to the front? On my Grand Cherokee with the 4.7 HO I can spin the inside rear wheel with little effort when I turn so it does not per say transfer power that fast. (although they call it AWD).

Cheers

Nick
He did it by himself, with a bit of help from me and another guy. Its not awd its 4x4

my buddy had a dart that ran 10's with a similar set up so I'm not surprised. Similar weights and what not.

It was a 67 dart. 383 nos build. 300 shot. 10 inch slicks. Looked like crap but he could put it down on any car I ever saw on the street. I tried to buy it but his cousin bought it first.

That's an awesome time, and I love Darts! There's no way that thing weighed anywhere near 5500 pounds though!

SO I guess that's pretty tight, how we can have a 4 banger that can run high 11's low 12's and still hang with this V8 with 200 shot of NOZ!!! lol cool, very cool

or maybe it's cool how a V8 (300hp) needs 200+ shot of NOZ to beat moded 4 bangers

add another 3000 lbs to one of our cars and see how fast it goes

stock this truck runs mid to low 16's that is at least 4 seconds knocked off its et, maybe even 5... not many people do that to their cars...

Trucks are definetly cool. I occasionally borrow my GF dad's truck once in a while. Chevy one ton dually, 454 with a nice whipplecharger on top. 500+ ft lbs is nice! Too bad the tranny is ****ed, and now stuck in second gear

true...true...for it's day the 67 dart was light.... 3000 pounds.

I wouldn't be surprised if that thing ran a high 9 on a great day but realistically it was about a 10.3 car. Not a bad find for under $2k..haaaa.

dr3d1zzl3,
Does this guy ever take the truck offroad? I'll drag race him in the sand with my F150. Either in the flat or up comp hill. No way I'll beat him on the street. I don't think I could beat a stock Civic. My truck's lifted and unsafe above 55MPH Let me know if he's interested.

300 bucks and your on man, just got off the phone with him.

Would take some work to get her ready for the sand hence the money.

Let me know if your down.
and fyi would be ok if he put on some padle tires on it?

Or if your down to wait another month he is willing to play follow the leader in the rocks with ya if that is your thing. (he has a toyota as well)

I don't think I'll beat him, I'm just willing to racing him. I can't afford paddles, so we'll have to go DOT's. I don't like rocks, just sand.

I'll PM you my email and cell. This will be fun! Thanks!

Ben

ya he is down to do it, just has to be worth the effort for him to lift it all back up. He can do DOT tires if you want as well. Buddy of ours just has a set of paddles he could have used i think..

Yeah, I actually might stand a chance if he's on DOTs. If I had paddles and he didn't, it would be no contest (and visa versa). My drawback is the 4-speed manual in the sand. When I push in the clutch, it's like hitting the e-brake. I'm guessing he has an auto.

Let me know. If it's too much of a hassle, that's cool.

do it at the pismo meet.

Shoot if there's a race going down I might have to make a phone call and see if my buddy will let me borrow his truck.

You wouldn't even really have to raise that truck back up if you do it on a flat section...just spec the run first make sure there aren't any huge wind ripples.

would be a good race if fish's truck is all motor and well built. In the sand your buddies nos isn't gonna be as useful as on the street..specially with dots.

hmmmmm. I'll have to keep reading this and make some calls.
