One word... Syclone. 1992 GMC Syclone could run 4.8 -60 and low 13's from the factory. They were all wheel drive and had a corvette center console/ seats, so they felt different than a normal truck too. Got a family? 1993-1995 GMC Typhoon. Same as Syclone but with a SUV body. Came with leather too!

The Syclone's performance is even more mind-boggling in the rain, where traction is usually severely limited. On a Wet test track, we recorded a 0-to-60 mph time of 4.6 seconds (the same as a ZR-I1 in the dry) and a quarter-mile run of 13.4 seconds at 100 mph. Only the world's most serious supercars can better those figures--and they all need a dry road to do it.

actually yeah those trucks handled pretty good with nice springs/struts and beefier sways. I had my civic dialed in and I had one staying right with me.

Great truck..don't know why they drifted out of that market so much.

Thanks to dodge we'll likely see more of them on the market again. Good fun. Very dangerous to the young and/or stupid driver though.

Power + light weight rear end= good times and/or oh **** moments.

all i got to say is the wrx driver had at least a 3000lb advantage...

plus he had a mouth the size of texas with all the jibba jabba he was spitting.

Funny thing is he got put in his place by a 4x4 extended cab truck.

it right now is a single fogger system set up with .73 fuel and nitrous jets. The nitrous setup has its own fuel pump and fuel reg as well as its own 2 gal cell. The truck has a custom ground cam setup for nitrous, and well it has headers, intake, exhaust, re gapped plugs (that are two steps colder), a custom flashed ecu, and a few other tweaks to the valve train.

Fim truck, and yes it is tps based...

right now it jetted to about a 250 shot, the owner is debating a 300 shot or a bit higher.. think we are going to track it with a 250 then go from there.

*whistles*

if my buddy goes for a 300 shot, and does a few more tweaks i think even a stage 3 wont help much. As the truck stands i think it is a 12 flat or high 11.

That thing is going to have to throw down a LOT of power to run 11's at 5500lbs. Are you sure it weighs that much? Wow!

Sounds about right actually looks like the drivetrain you figured on is a bit off.. he only goes 4x4 on launch and thru first gear then he kicks it to 2hi..

Holly poop. No wonder it smoked the WRX. This thing must easily make 500-600hp with the 250 shot.

Did you guys install it yourself or had it done? It looks very slick and professionally done.

Nothing like a 350ci that can take 250-300 shot all day. You put more than 100 shot on a WRX and you could be picking up pieces of the engine. Never mind you would have half the Bay Area PD 's after you.

Does the AWD system work well on those trucks? I always thought that they are basically RWD till needed but how fast does it transfer power to the front? On my Grand Cherokee with the 4.7 HO I can spin the inside rear wheel with little effort when I turn so it does not per say transfer power that fast. (although they call it AWD).

Cheers

Nick
