cumings turbo diesle

My buddy's Dodge with turbo diesle puts down 1000lbs of torque...you just never know what you're up against...lol

When that thing launches all you see is black exhaust and then nothing...big trucks shouldn't be able to move that fast...

Until the road has a turn in it. I was brought up to believe that real trucks are meant for work, not for show. Of course I was taught a lot of things growing up that I now question. To each his own, if you dig it, right on!

It really doesn't surprise me that a pick up with a V8 and NOS beat a WRX...should it? The only possible advantage would be if the pick up was 2wd, even then the advantage would likely be swallowed up before the 1/8 mile mark...

yeah....I used to stomp on the unsuspected in my crappy little strait 6 ranger and I've know some serious truck drivers...I don't mess with trucks...I know better.

If the guy in the truck is willing to run...there is a reason for it.

I saw a dropped escalate on 24's yesterday...supercharged...thing was a beast.

And I drove a supercharged toyota 4x4 tacoma....burly. pretty damn quick. even with the nobbies...shoot when I was car shopping I test drove a 2003 silverado. extended cab. Leather. 6 inch lift 35's...etc....as fully loaded as you'll see come off the lot....I turned the tires with ease coming out of the lot. and that's a stock motor with larger exhaust. that's it...maybe the chip...can't remember.

needless to say....more than twice the cubic inches and nos...I'm really not surprise the wrx lost.

Thats pretty impressive....

I have a story that will fit this threat pretty well....

a few months ago...I had a guy pull up next to me at a turn signal (2 left hand turn lanes) I was in the right turn lane, this dude in a 2004 Silverado SS pulls up next to me in the left lane and turns off his stereo suddenly (he had it blasting when he stopped next to me). So our turn signal changes to green...we both make our SAFE left turns into our respective lanes.....then all of a sudden the dude floors it! I am like "OH HELL NO".....so I am in 2nd gear, and floor it.....turbo spools, and I just walk away from him.....hit 3rd, and I pull like 6-7 car links ahead of him....then there is another light, so we let off and stop at the next light. The dude pulls up next to me again, and says...."DUDE! HOW MUCH HP DOES THAT THING HAVE?!?!?!?" I told him....about 230 @ the wheels....he was pretty impressed....so I ask him about his truck.....supposedly it has about 380 HP @ the crank (factory specs I guess), so we chit chat about our vehicles at the light till it turn....gave eachother a friendly wave and thumbs up, and went our separate ways....It was really cool....nice guy....but chock one up for the WRX.

Although I do have to say, I was really impressed at how fast the truck was....given its GVWR of roughly 5k-5.5k Lbs....

those ss trucks are pretty sweet but not as good as they good be. They need some tweeking......with not much they are pretty crazy.

It's like the ford lighting. Pretty sweet but lacking something scary. Little tweaking and they are pretty scary> There is a nos kit for those things that I hear drops them into the low 12/high 11 range...that true?
