Yea, you probably NEVER hit any traffic....plus you get off work in the middle of the day so you can take care of any errands you have to get done. I wouldnt mind working a shift like that....maybe not 4-12....but 6-2 could work for me. Shoot, I wouldn't even mind working 4 10's w/3 days off.

I have the 10pm to 10am shift, and it rocks.

I work 4 12's with 3 days off.

Only I work Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. So I get absolutely no weekends.

It doesn't really matter anyway, its not like I do anything anyway... I usually spend 90% of my time alone anyhow. :-/

Edit: I know the shift I have rocks because I don't sleep at night... I hate the day. I used to work the 4am to 12 shift back in the day and I loved it... I just wished I could have gotten there before 4am.

4 days a week though right eric, since you work at a biotech company? unless you are whipped like me at work and work 13hr x 5 days...argh biotech can bite me lol

Well...I work whatever it takes to get the job done. Sometimes 15 hour days, sometimes 4 hour days...luckily usually more of the latter. If you get passed by a white WRX sedan doing 90+ on 101, I apologize in advance. Makes a >30 minute commute more like 22. Leaving at noon is a dream too.

Today was only the second time I've done that shift, and I kinda like it. My wife is working part time so we have to work opposite schedules so someone is around to watch the kiddo.

I have an interview for a second job this week too.... :sshhhhhh: :banana:

 

me: start around 12:30 pm, go gome around 9pm... no traffic unless accident... plus commute is 8 miles each way...

i hate to leave this job...

8 miles each way, must be nice..plus dont you work at csuh...wanna switch...you can travel to berkeley from hayward and then work 13 hour days, 5 days a week and i can take your 16 mile round trip commute along with all the eye candy up at csuh...all i see is angry, butt-ugly scientists who sniff chemicals all day, but i'm not complaining

i applied for couple jobs too shhhhhh

 

I was working 8pm - 7am. I hated it. So glad to be back on days.
