49ers 09/10 Season Thread

Bruce is out, so we'll be seeing more of Crabtree/Morgan/Hill or Battle + Davis.
Davis is a probowl TE, fast, big, strong. IMO I believe he's an every down TE and the niners should always have him on the field (for rushing/passing).
Crabtree will be on the field (he's gettin paid, Niners will use him) but I seriously want to see him get some deep 20+yard *****. I want to see him battle and fight for the football (this is how you know you have good receivers from bad ones). If they can jostle for the ball, then you have receivers like Fitzgerald/Colston, if he sucks, then you can't trust him.
The reason why Brees is the man is because his receivers fight for the football, even poorly thrown *****. Smith can be a lot better if the receivers fought harder for the ball (on positioning) before the ball arrives.
Anywho, 49ers need to draft a safety + CB next season (Lewis is injury prone and the 49ers keep getting beat deep).

Smith will be in. If you read Singletary's interview after last weeks loss, he only accounted for Smith being at fault for a badly thrown ball, the other 2 picks were receivers not fighting for the ball enough.

I have to admit this game has a lot of horrible in it. Lots of interceptions and lots of penalties. If the 49ers win, it's because they have more discipline than the Bears. Bears just keep shooting themselves in the foot. LoL

Good thing I put SF defense in on my FF team haha 5 INT baby too bad no defensive touchdowns ....
But damn there offense needs to get the ball rolling, what was up with the last 10 minutes trying to run the clock out just running the ball... Should have been throwing it going for a TD man!
Anyway atleast they won Love the defense and horrible QB Jay Cutler Lol.

It's a great development compared to the Nolan era. I remember some teams make the biggest gains when they barely lose around 5 games the previous season by a small margin. Then the next season they are able to win all the close games. I'm really betting on the 49ers next year to get deep into the playoffs.

About time we finally got another win. Now we need to keep this ball rolling and start winning these games as several of the losses have been close losses that we could have won had we played better.
Oh and Yup ... That's the Alex Smith I remember. Way to move the Offense Alex.
I seriously hope we are drafting another QB in the next draft. I really don't want to keep seeing Alex Smith on this team as he just isn't our QB of the future. At some point we may need to check out Nate Davis, but I would really rather let him sit on the bench and learn for right now. Let him develop and he could possibly be our future QB. I'd really like to see the Niners get Clausen though and if Notre Dame keeps losing we very well may be able to get him outside of the Top 10.
As it stands now though, we will need O-Line help be it in the Draft or in Free Agency. We are also going to need several pieces on the Defensive side of the ball, but we'll have to see what they decide to get when the time comes.
