Probably 7 gallons and hour x that by 25, thats 175. There will be some yellows and slow times, so say 135ish? 135 x 2.50/gallon is $340 ish
How many MPG do you get on track from a miata?

It's not the gas, there is so much more to this event. If you think you can run a miata in this race competively for less than $5k I would say enter next years and see how much you spend.

FWIW, I was offered to drive a Spec Miata in the 25 for $3700. That is splitting a car with 3 other drivers and includes entry, gas, tires, crew, and minor damage (tire rubs, windshield). It's a lot more than you'd think...

Bryan, Sean's actually a pretty respectable track driver with a race ready SM. He's not a keyboard racer- he just hasn't experienced all the costs involved first hand since he hasn't done a season yet.

Yea around $10k for that car makes sense to me, the 25 is not a cheap event by any means.

FWIW I know Sean is out there at the track I was just giving him a hard time on his numbers

I know mate, I was just messing with you.

I'd be happy to share with you our costs for this year once we're done with the event and know what the totals are.

Cost... I can barly afford to keep my car on the road. I wouldn't even think of entering an event like this.
As for putting me to work. Ask me to do a few field sobriety tests before giving me anything important to do. Na , I'll help you out. Are we going to be allowed in the pit area, or are they hard core with who gets access? I can keep my mind off the bottom of my bottle if you give me something to do. My wife was wondering if she should go. I told her she would probably get bored, cold, tired ect. Besides if she went I wouldn't be able to snuggle with Dre. Is he going?

Like Mike said before for anybnody that hasn't been to this event, in the early morning hours this place gets very very cold.

Bring sock warmers if you plan on spending the night
