No insurance on a track day folks... there are anti-competition clauses in every auto policy.
The only way you can get around it is with a "driving school". But if there's a lap timer, your're screwed.
Let's say that years ago when I was in the industry I heard about a guy doing a track day in a Viper that spun into a wall and wiped out the whole car.
I heard that he had the car flatbedded to a certain local shop, and heard that he had the slicks swapped for street tires. I heard that he had the car flatbedded back to the entrance road for the track and dumped in the roadside ditch.
Than called his insurance company and reported the accident.
This of course is insurance fraud which I would never attempt, or assist in.
