Well, for starters it's right hand drive, that's a no-no. The only RHD vehicle allowed in US right now is a Skyline brought in thru the only legal RI, MotoRex (but not for long).
Then there's the OBD-II issue. It's non-complaint and no one's made one yet. That's the issue the RX-7 owners were running into when they wanted to import Spirit R's a while back. Thru EI no less. Skylines made after 96 won't be federilized because theres no OBD-II yet.
There's plenty of reasons why not, but buy it as a track car and if EI actually delivers it then drive it untill you get caught.
EI's big way of selling these cars? They found a loophole that they jump thru.
They were buying cars, dissasembling them and having them re-assembled in Peuro Rico. The car gets a US vin and is brought over here. While the car has a VIN it hasn't been cleared by the DOT or the EPA. Get caught and your car gets crushed and cubed.

No.
It has to be legalizied by a licenced RI. The only one licenced for Skylines is MotoRex, but there about ready to fold.
Right now, there is no way to get a legal Skyline unless you buy one that has already been okayed and has the proper paperwork. Unfortunatly people that go through that kind of work aren't selling there special cars, and when they do it costs an arm and a leg.

What does the VIN # decode to for the PR imports? I've always wondered how the loop hole worked, that makes sense, thanks!
