If you have a Costco membership and buy the car through them, I think they get you the car for $500 under invoice.

Don't quote me on that though.

Dude, go for a used STi. I know you said you don't need the power but what about brembo brakes, or the 6MT? The STi is so much more fun than a WRX, plus the cost... 31K is obscene for a wrx (to me... but I can be stingy ). I bet you could find a beautiful used STi with less than 50k miles in the $20 - $25k range. In 2007 I bought my 04 STi for $23k and it had only 20k miles. My 2 cents. Good luck with the search!

I just bought a new 2011 WRX base and with the costco membership I paid 800 under the dealers invoice price at Hanlees Subaru in Napa. Great service and you cant beat the price.

Yep, I was originally looking for an 05 also (best year imo) but couldnt pass up the deal I got on my 04. Friend of mine in WA got a black '11 WRX, not sure how much it cost him but he really likes it.

If you're considering an STi over a WRX make sure you check insurance rates first. They aren't cheap.

For the record - I like my '11 WRX.

That's how much my 09 was under invoice when I bought it through the costco deal. Paid for my membership for 5 years

But 31 sounds about right for a fully loaded WRX after tax. Mine will be about 30 including the downpayment, tax, and interest over the life of the loan.

Yea i thought about that as well. Thanks for the advice...

Ive been talking to a few salesman via internet and theyre trying to help me out best they can. Hopefully a deal can get done. I wouldnt say fog lights, heated seats, and heated mirrors is FULLY loaded, but what do I know... The wrx has changed a lot over the years lol...

At the MOST you should be paying Invoice price + 10% for tax/license/documentation.

Don't ask for a quote, go in knowing what the car costs.

31 out the door sounds about right actually.... The Sticker Price on my 2011 WRX Limited (Limited has the HIDs, Sunroof, Leather and Fog lights) was 29,500 with catback, short throw shifter and Shock sensor.

31 seems pretty close for out the door

+1. Don't ever pay more than invoice + tax/license/etc.

I paid 24.5K with the STI ss from Lasher/Elk Grove Subaru for my '11 WRB sedan with 10 miles on the clock. No fogs, wingless trunk, no homelink but none of those things I give a crap about. The fogs are more of an aesthetic upgrade from what a lot of people have told me and I wanted a wingless trunk. The SS feels nice compared to my 08 without one and there was no way in hell I was paying 1100 for the SPT exhaust lol. I'll get an invidia for cheaper and sound nicer. (forgot to mention this was 2 months ago)

For the costco discount you just go on costco.com and go through their auto section and enter the car you want and they find it for you via one of the dealers that they have an agreement with and thats about it. No haggling or anything sign the papers and your done. I paid 27,383 for my 2011 WRX with everything minus sun roof and fog lights.
