would i be correct in assuming that there is going to be issues with the engine after a short time, because now the way the car is displacing force, is going to be flexing the frame in ways it was not intended. kinda like the idea that one different tire screws up the whole transmission. so basically the dealer just ruined the car, not just visually, but physically also. right?

I would imagine if it was done by a quality shop like ACS (who does many factory convertible conversions for the OEMs) they would know to stiffen the car to account for the structure that was removed. However, if it wasn't designed with convertible in mind, it will never really be as strong as it was in hard top form.
