There are a ton of regulatory fees that they have to pay in order to remain open.

And that's just to open the doors.

Now, comes the material.

Paint ain't cheap, and if it is, I don't want it on my car/parts.
Paint is like many itemsyou buy, you spend more for smaller quantities, hence your spoiler will cost more $/oz of paint than my hood/car/etc.

An alternative is to find a paint supply outfit that will mix the paint for you & put it in a rattle bomb. A can costs maybe $25 dollars.
If you're painting plastic, they can even add the right goo that keeps the paint flexible.

There's a place in Sacramento that will do just that & I have had really good success in matching/painting various parts.

do you live under a rock? You realize a full paint job (a good one) is 3 grand MINIMUM

its a lot of labor (prepping, sanding, priming, spraying, clear coating, etc)

Other than that, get a $25 rattle can from paintscratch.com and try your luck

That's why I painted the STi hoodscoop on my standard '04 WRX with Krylon Fusion matte black. Ten dollars for paint & prep supplies, FTW.

BTW, I have a hard-on for the STI Limited rear spoiler. If you could get enough people in on a group buy to get the price closer to $200 even, I'm in. Put me down for a white one so I can Krylon it, too. Srsly

Haha I guess that would work. But I couldn't come to any Suby meets anymore considering most guys on here get hard-ons from the lip and would probably try to jump me. .

I am pretty much 100% set on this now.

Sometime after SEMA I will place my order. Maybe sooner. Im guessing the satin white pearl will be easier to paint than the urban grey metallic so i'll get the satin white pearl so i can get it painted WRB

Is anyone seriously intrested in buying it with me?

I thought this was going to be a group-buy deal.

no no no. I thought a group buy was when we all buy something from a website and install it and stuff together...?
