That's definitely what made the hole in the block, but it looks like the rod broke either from a piston or a bearing seizing up... everything else went downhill from there. 2 valves also broke and definitely hit the pistons, but its hard to say what cracked first... the chicken or the egg

Not much... I think he left most of it on the track and all over the engine bay.
