I honestly doubt that car is totalled....

remember mine? getting tboned in SF? 14,500+ in damage on a WRX worth about 18500. Not totalled (and it DID have frame damage).

Sucks to get hit though

These kids went to the same high school as me. At first I felt bad for them because I thought it was an accident and the other 2 were passengers, but when I read that article, it disgusted me. ****ing horrible.

Well, I figure it's just the same as the gas guzzler tax. Doesn't hurt sales because people who are bothered by the tax can't afford the car anyways.

Though an S license for cheaper cars like the wrx/sti/evo is debateable - after all an "S" license would end up being some sort of status symbol like "bam I'm licensed to be speed racer" - which would in turn cause more accidents. Fail.

dang, that sucks. sorry for your loss.
at least you're ok tho......could've been waaay worse getting clipped at above speed limit speed.

i don't wanna bash young drivers, but there's a reason why insurance is so high for teenage+young adult males, esp for your cars. i still can't believe how much i pay for my bugeye.........CLEAN record and old as dirt too, and i barely even drive the thing.

sigh, you young bucks out there really need to stop stealing and mashing up these things. you're making my insurance agent even RICHER! lol

Glad to hear you are ok. I think that guy might have gone to my high school - the one that hit you. He was a tool if it is indeed him :/. Hopefully they will total it and you can start from scratch and do something sick. Look at the upside of things . Go see a chiropractor about your back and such..might be a good idea. Put it on his tab .

Wouldn't it be easier if a normal driver's license wasn't so easy to get?

While I believe that the kid in the Evo is 100% at fault and liable for the damage to the OP, I'd be willing to bet that if the OP had been paying more attention to his driving that he would not have a banged up car right now. Not noticing someone coming up on your tail until they are just 15 feet behind you is asking for trouble.

Hey Nat,

That's because you got your *** kicked by your girlfriend for getting her into a car accident, nothing to do with you getting hurt in the car during the accident!!! ahahahah You guys should have gotten a police report so there would be no back and forth on the different forums of who did what, just have a CHP present to get it all figured out, insurance will not question what happened, and then he could have given the EVO a fix-it ticket on top of it all.

Jerry
