08/09 owners! tail light overlays
Hey, I just recently picked up a set of overlays from bluebat, but anyways, i'm looking for a good tint shop in the San Jose area that could install them.
For you 08/09 guys, do you have any experiences with various shops around the South Bay and their overlay installs?

I have an 04 and I did the overlays myself, it wasn't that hard, I can help you if you want.
You only need:
Patience
Soapy water
Credit card
Hair dryer
If you remove the tail lights they're WAY easier to install. There's actually a video of the install for 08-09s on youtube and I think they do it in like 10 minutes flat.

vince should be able to do your overlays nicely. bluebat has been making overlays for a long time now for the celicas so I'm sure those are good to go. I personally painted mine and made the 08/09's look a lot better.

It doesn't seem to hard to do them on the 08/09 tails. Certainly doesn't seem as difficult as the bugeye headlights. I had to pay mulah to get that done. I had it done in SJ from Mr. Tint. Look them up.
But I still think you should do it yourself unless you feel really uncomfortable doing it.

I ended up not bringing my car into vince's shop to do the tail overlay install. I got bored after work so I installed it myself. Like others have said, it isn't that hard to do as long as you take your time and not rush yourself, you'll be fine.
