'07 WRX hood scoop

Anybody know if there is a more subtle hood scoop available for the 06-07 WRX?

the 06/07 is more subtle.

If you don't like the scoop, get an RS.

Or get an RS hood w/ an FMIC.

my question is will the new '06 scoop fit on the '05 hood? I recently went from a STi scoop to a WRX scoop and the '06 STi scoop sems to be in the middle of the two sizes. I wanted to try one.

WTF?????

no. Get a black FMIC and an RS hood. Pull your badging and put on nothing or RS badging. Only way to go less noticeable.

it's a hood scoop. it's functional.

Funny you say that. I have the Perrin FMIC in black in my extra room (doing me a lot of good there ). And RS hood is heavy, maybe I would get the replica that is light. My hood is alum and I am not going to trade it out for a heavy *** hood.

get a reverse hood scoop and have it match painted.

I didn't realize the RS hood was so much heavier...good info. Maybe a CF one paint matched?

I def like the subtle look as that is the route I went with my STi. I would def have to paint the hood if it were cf and a lot of shops won't paint CF for whatever reason (maybe it's just up here in hickville). For some reason I no likey the looks of the reverse scoop. It's either the WRX scoop or none w/lightweight color matched hood for meh

The 02/03 Splitter from ZeroSport DOES fit on the 06 hoodscoop.

SO...you "SHOULD" be able to use a 02/03 WRX hood scoop on the 06/07.

Although why you would further restrict air the the small intercooler that the 06/07 WRX has, I have no idea.

I'd stick with the stock scoop unless you are going FMIC with a RS style hood....

The smaller hood scoop you have now is fine. If you de-scoop the car it will look lame and the hot air will have no where to go. Dont spend any money on non-performance mods. Remember, after you get your 8cm FP Green you are going to need a clutch with the quickness.

speaking of clutches, I drove a Spec Stage 3 clutch and it is now my favorite clutch. Feeels like stock and holds 400+WHP on the gruppe-s dyno no problems.

Roger that. I thought it would get hot under the hood with no scoop. I could just lift the back end of my hood up with spacers That's so jdm lmao. You know the STi is lookin stealthy now

so the 02-03 will fit on the 06-07, then the 02-03 sti scoop should also fit right. if so do you think the 02sti is better than the 06 stock?? just wondering.
