For those of you that have done track days before, what do you do with the stuff in your car when you're racing? In particular how do you keep it from growing legs and walking, if you know what I mean. I will probably be camping on the way down, and am wondering what I should do with all my gear while I'm racing.

Most of the time you will go with a group of people. In that group you may have two guys running in B session and maybe 3 guys running in C session. So you just kinda watch each others backs if you know what I mean. But I can say that I've never been to concerned about it. Most people that are at the events are not there to jack someones stuff. It just ain't right. I've been to 7 track events and it's like a familey event and it's all cool and laid back. I'm not saying leave your digital DV or anthing laying around but it's all good 99% of the time.

You can find someone you're familiar with to hang out with & keep your stuff with them. Or just leave it in a pile. I'd say that in general track days are pretty low theft risk event. Especially with only other Subie owners. I mean, c'mon, who would be stupid enough to steal from another Subie owner at an event like this. (Hopefully I didn't just jinx us!)

My experience is like Lowball. Never had anything taken at the track, since the people there are like-minded with you and there for the event. But you could bring one of those cheap blue tarps to throw over your stuff while you are away. Keeps temptation out of sight.

Yeah, sounds good to me, I've never been to a track event so I didn't know what to expect. I also had to address it since my wife is coming and she is used to locking everything up. She grew up in Panama so if it wasn't bolted down it was gone, and sometimes even if it was. Thanks for the advice, this will be my first subie event so I look forward to meeting you guys. I'll be in a stock silver STi, can't miss it
