I won't be there, but I've run it a bunch of time in both directions in both my OBS and the Miata. It's one of my favorite tracks, probably third after Sears Point and Streets of Willows. I disagree about not running Star Mazda. There's pleny of runoff and it's a great place to show people the that slow-in-fast-out works, and it's really fun to run the slaloms at speed.

Yes both #1 and #13 are fun and challenging. The downside is counterclockwise spinning into the wall at Sunrise or cw dirt/mud tangles at Lost Hill. Be conservative and drive your car home on its own wheels.
Also five sessions of 20 minutes each on either circuit will test your conditioning. Better be in shape and skip the stimulating beverages.
But yeah, lets go for the big circuits!! Personally, I prefer #13 because of the sweeper before Star Mazda, but either way is a good day.

edited for direction correction. :-)

Does anyone know how else to reach Alex, possibly a phone number? I tried email and PM him, and I know he is very busy. I just wanted to find out more info on how we can help, possibly help sponsor/instructor for this event.

Wouldn't you know it? When Alex gave me his address to give you (before he updated the first post), I forgot to ask how to spell his last name.
LOL!! Isn't his name on spell check? I doubt the bank will verify letter for letter after the first six or so. :-)). No worries.

Mazda turn is pretty hard on stock brakes, im not looking forward to warping a set of rotors again. The sweeper is actually quite technical, there are many ways to take it ie double apex. Its actually one of my favorite turns.
