hah, that's the point. this thread wasn't about bragging. i'm sure most people had debt at 1 point or another so perhaps it felt good about getting rid of it.

it does feel good to get rid of it.

unfortunately, soooooooooooo many people do it wrong. tack in onto a mortgage, that just stretched it out much longer. consolidation loans, that just lumps it all into one big debt stretched out. "settling" with the lenders, that just screws everyone over.
