i hit 25 lbs daily on my stock internals. there is no hose going into my wastegate

You can run extremely high boost with any setup. The quesiton is how long can you get away with it and no 25 pounds on a stock setup is not safe.

I know 20psi isnt safe to run all the time, but with fmic, utec, full exhaust w/o cats, ebc, injen intake, vf22, sti injectors,tt supra fuel pump and clutch can i run 20 to 22psi when i race and be ok?

Actually from the sounds of it your car is a GD body car with the EJ20, correct? You have alot less to worry about cause your motor was built for a turbo application. The engine has oil sprayers for the pistons, lower compression, a ECU that allows you to be turbo to begin with and bigger injectors then what comes on the 2.5RS cars.

is this the thread for me?

Im new to your lil club thingys- as well as to the world of high tech scoobie-doobie hacking.
I am currently trying to research the dos and donts of swapping the 2.0 liter that is in my 2003 WRX for a 2.5 block. Granted I plan to maximize on the WRX's heads/cams/intake but I feel a 2.5 shortblock swap would be an ideal route for some grunt...
any thoughts?

I ran 28 psi on my car at the track and ang around 15-18psi as daily driver. I had stcok internals and never had a problem. It is all about how well tuned your car is. The quickest drag time I ever had was 12.8@108.

no your car never boosted 28 psi. how do i know that. trust me... i have been around and your stock internals would never hold that. second.. if you did boost 28 psi and your car held together, your 1/4 time would be faster than 12.8. i was running 19-20 psi with some nitrous and i was at 12.06. now on my fully build ej22 i would even be hesitant to run 28 psi.

I do stand corrected my math skills are horrible. I double checked with the build of my car and max my car saw was 1.5 bar or 22 psi. Sorry for the error.
