Turbo Baja assistance needed
Hi I have a 03 Baja I love it but it is a bit short on power. I would like to turbocharge it, but I can't find any info on it for my car. It has the SOHC 2.5. Can someone give me advice?

Ludespeed has excellent EJ25 turbo kits. Send an email to Tom explaining your situation. He will likely provide free labor to install the kit on your Baja as a test mule, and if it doesn't work, he'll buy it back. He has this offer posted to Legacy and Forester owners on the website, so I'm sure he'll do it for Bajas too.

you're probably going to be better off trading it in on a 2004 baja turbo. you'll take a hit on the trade in but it will save you money and headaches in the long run. the turbo option for the baja should only be $1500-$2500 and will have a warranty. the aftermarket turbo for your 2.5 will cost more, give you all sorts of dealership issues (warranty), the techs won't know what to do to repair it, and you will have to deal with problems with fuel maps, injectors, detonation, etc. the baja turbo also has the sti block and forged internals which means that there is plenty of potential for improvement.
