no race gas tune here. not feasible for me to spend 250 on something i will never use
i currently have an STi intercooler, turbo back helix exhuast catless, and a K&N typhoon intake so i should get the full potential either way. on 91

If you check out 3rdeye's graph you can see how as the car approaches redline, the turbo falls flat on it's face. With my car, the drop in HP is very minor and was done intentionally for motor longevity. Mike does this intentionally so that our engines have that extra margin of safety. But nothing as dramatic as 3rdeye's drop in HP approaching redline.
Most likey, the compressor could not flow enough air to sustain the HP at the high rpm on the 2.5L. From all the tuning and testing we have done in the past what we see with the 2.5's is that the 20G pulls all the way to redline but pretty flat. The 18G will always drop off up top.
Honestly though, TD06 18G, TD05 20G, TD06 20G, TD06H 20G, 7cm, 8cm will all be great turbos for your setup! And if you get a race gas tune on the same day as your pump gas tune we charge an extra $125, not $250!!!
