motor blew...

Hint drop a 1/4 oil down each plug hole. Try it then. The oil will some what return compression for a few minutes.
Someone tell me how to do this on a boxer engine? Is there a trick to it?

Just get a funnel, pull an injector one at a time, (just like doing a compression test on each cylinder), except before plugging in the tester, pour oil down the funnel to where the spark plug is suppose to be. Then do your compression test.........
I did this on my #4 when it blew, I was getting 110 (all the others were getting 220) after the oil was poured, it jumped to 170/180. Results?.......blown rings.

a bit off topic but 2 things:
1st: my brand new 2000 2.5 rs had a compression of about 190-195 max. How'd you swing 220?
2nd: what is the reasoning behind oil in a cilinder? To test the O-rings? will you even get a spark in there with oil in combustion chaimber?

So what exactly are you looking for when testing with oil in the chamber? How accurate is the diagnosis after this test?
Say first 5 clicks you can get high comp, and later you're looking for it to drop?
I don’t flame, I just never heard of a test like this, and would like to make this part of my troubleshooting repertoire
