Well,
The LS kit that I purchased was a stage I kit with a stage III turbo and a few custom requests.
Kit came with:
T3/T4 (63 turbine/.60 comp) Garrett, water cooled
Stainless Steel Up-pipe (2 1/4") , downpipe (3") with divorced wastegate. (Tial 35mm)
Voltage Clamp for MAP sensor
RRPFR (Vortech)
Parallel Fuel Rail Modification adapter
4 Spark Plugs (colder)
Boost Gauge
Pod for boost gauge
All the hoses/clamps/tees/etc needed to install the kit.
Factory oil pan with oil return line welded in place (pretty spiffy)
Blitz SUS DD Blow off Valve
Turbo Mounting Bracket
Cruise Control relocation kit
K&N Cone Filter and intake pipe
Turbo Charge Pipe
255Lph Fuel Pump
That's all I can think of right now...
It ran 2800 bucks.

Well since both companies no longer make aftermarket kits for the non turbo cars it is pointless to go over what they had. Both are complete kits. The welds, fit and quality of workmanship is uncomparable. You get more with the LS kit but I would not even concider a Voltage clamp and a RRFPR as acceptable to go on a car.
And yes I have done 100% of all the work done on my car so that is not something you can poke at me.
As for the time to get the kits, they both took over a year to get when they were being developed. Still after that the LS had to have over 1/4 inch of the tranny bracket ground off and several other tweeks to get it to even fit on the car. And the final pipes look scabbed together looking more like a prototype than a production unit.
Sorry I offended you. Guess there is a place for every level of kit from ghetto to professional.

except I personnaly didn't need to grind anything to fit the kit.
Also, when I said better than other kits out there, I was talking about available kits. Your setup is far superior to mine in craftsmanship (or so I've heard- but knowing Shiv he wouldn't let anything less come out of his shop) but it isn't available anymore and hasn't been for over a year now.
Obviously you read my other thread.
I was biased so I asked for a second opinion.
I wasn't personnaly offended. I just didn't like the way you were ******* on Tom. He has been very helpfull to me. I can't speak for other people, but he frequently returns my emails with accurate information and when there were mistakes in my kit he promptly fixed them. So it was almost like you were talking bad about a friend, that's all.
Just to close this once and for all.
We are both very pleased with our kits. I most likely would have been more pleased with your kit. A tec3 would be awful nice. I however, can't afford the expensive professional kits working for the military and raising a family. I feel that for the money that I paid the LS kit was great. I don't think the AVO kit is worth what they charge. I don't know about the Forced Air Tech, but their kit appears to be just like the LS kit.
I hate Voltage Clamps and RRFPR's too, that's why I don't have them anymore.
I'd also like to go for a ride in your car and see how the Tec3 is treating you.
I'd also like you to see what you can do for a lot less money (my car).

as I said before, there are plenty of shops around that can do a custom turbo kit for you if you like.
we are in the Sacramento area and would be more then happy to put a kit together for any RS owner. I am sure there are shops accross the country that will do the same service as well.
although the 2 companies that are no longer selling their kits, there is no reason to think there will never again be another RS-T

The RS-T will never die. There will always be someone willing to do it
