ej22e block...turbo power
I picked up an ej22 from a friend and I was wondering if anyone thinks that an ej22e block would hold up to a turbo. I'm getting machined and hardened heads, and pistons to help with compression and strength but that doesn't mean that the block will hold up to it. I don't plan on running a whole mess of boost but on a rare occasion I would like to run about 12-15 if i was in the mood to descimate a Hond....I mean get to work on time

hey bro i agree with that decision. i just bought a 97 obs ej22 which is boosted( sadly only at 7 psi) with a kit out of a daytona and a top mount intercooler. Pretty good car and if I get some low comression pistons then i might be able to crank up the boost a little more. Good luck

you can turbo it as you can see above...but for internals I believe Ross makes low compression forged pistons for the 2.2l engines...you can also use a EJ22G's stock internals.
