Boost gauge line?
So i just installed my boost gauge and plumbed it to the manifold nipple used for the cruise control (removed) and i'm getting an RPM dependant rattling from the gauge. i'm running an autometer and i think it may be that because i'm taking the pressure from one of the runners, that the spring is fluttering with the opening and closing of the valvetrain. the needle does not waiver though, pretty steady.
have other people experienced this problem? do you run it from the same place or should i T into the vacuum line on the throttlebody?
thanks

Are you using the hard plastic line that comes with the gauge, or a silicone line? If you're using the hard line, it might be telegraphing engine vibration to the gauge. A good silicone line might fix this. Is the gauge itself secure? It might be the gauge itself that is the problem.
Good luck.

It wouldn't suprise me if the copper is telegraphing the vibration. If you don't want to re-run the entire line, you may consider cutting out a length of copper near the engine and splicing in a short section of silicone hose. This will act as a vibration isolator and may help. Depending on the OD of the copper line, you may be able to fing a silicone hose with the correct ID to slip over it. Then just use a couple small hose clamps to hold it in place.
Good luck!
