Best for what? To look at?

Depending on what you plan on doing with your car, one can call a single IHI turbo "best" for your particular needs.

Try looking at the MRT VF Turbo Whitepaper... this has a good bit of information regarding the VF series turbos. Also, you can look here: http://www.wrxfanatics.com/index.php?showtopic=13098

get the VF22 and huge injectors, and internals, and stand-alone, and run a lot of boost... that'll answer your question

Yes, the VF22 can also be had for a song... around $600. This is biggest IHI which, when ported and polished unleashes the full potency of the EJ20.

When can you expect boost to come on with an EJ20 engine and the VF22 ported and polished? I believe the stock WRX is 3300 RPM or thereabouts.

When can you expect boost to come on with a VF34 ported and polised as well? How much of a differencve does a P&P job make with most turbos?

I've heard that the VF22 is good for 320WHP and the VF34 for 300WHP. With accompying mods of course. Though I believe those numbers were a bit inflated. I've heard it's more like 300 w/VF22 and 275 w/VF34. How much power can a stock EJ20 handle before you need to beef up the internals?

wow was that on race gas or pump? What other mods would one have to do to get power like that. I see a lot of people on this forum getting bigger fuel pumps, VF34s, and STi injectors, but they don't get near that power. Is this most likely from lack of an ECU tune?

Prodrive ECU

That procably has a lot to do with it. Other than that I don't see anything too crazy. Thanks makes me think my goal of 300WHP isn't that crazy after all.
