Click any location to get directions.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is TO HAVE FUN!!!

And the easiest way to make that happen is to follow these simple steps:

(1) Send a PM to both 04SubieWRX -and- boardoholic. This CRUCIAL step is to confirm your spot on the roster. If you're not on the list, we can add & confirm you in one shot. In your PM, let us know which caravan you're planning to meet us at and how many in your party. A clear & concise post in the thread stating such is also acceptable. Thank you to those who have already replied to Confirmation Requests or posted your intentions since this helps us keep the roster updated.

(2) Book your room. To keeps costs reasonable, please feel free to enlist family & friends to join you -or- contact a fellow i-clubber fr the list to go in on this with you. While you can choose any lodging you wish, the Best Western Station House Inn is our unofficial HQ for the wknd. We realize that you might have your favorite place to stay or may have a strict budget. A few alternative accommodations have already been linked in the thread, so that's a great place to get started in your hunt. G' luck.

(3) Pre-purchase lift tickets. If you don't already have a season pass or "freebies" that others have somehow managed to score, the "Deals" page on http://www.slidingonthecheap.com/ is a great place to start. Craigslist is another great resource. Be weary of any restrictions & black-out dates. Of the 3 nearby resorts, the best "one day" deals are:

* Heavenly--$53.50 via the Zumiez 2-for-1 deal. Technically, the ticket itself will be $41, but one person has to buy the $25 gift pack at the store & just split up its goodies w/ another person (thus, also splitting the initial $25).

* Sierra --$58 via the Any Mountain kiosk pre-purchase. Note: The Sierra 3-pak ($49/ticket) is a cheaper deal. You'll get a ticket w/ your name printed on it to get 3 days (could be non-consecutive) @Sierra!). This is AWESOME if you know "100% for sure" that you can get 2 more days in before the season ends.

* Kirkwood --$55 via the Costco 2-pak. Go in on this w/ another person or use the 2nd ticket another day.

(4) Arrive fully fueled at the departure site nearest you; plan to show up 5-10 minutes before the designated "blast-off" time. We will take roll call fr the roster and plan to leave on time. Within days of the "launch" date, we will provide our contact info so that you can call to "catch up" with the group at some point should you miss the departure time.

(5) DRIVE SAFE. We cannot stress this enough! So we say again... DRIVE SAFE. *More on this later.

Here is the route for the inbound trip to South Lake Tahoe. (GoogleMaps: Kohl's...I-80E/B&N...BnM...Gondy@Hvnly)
Note: Heavenly is assumed as resort of choice for Day One. Should you opt for Sierra, it is about 25 minutes closer & also along this route off US-50.

This message will self-destruct in 5 seconds . . . .

For the list: You will have 30 min after the time to meet up to get to your rally point. After 30 min we are leaving!! No exeptions!

Just an FYI, this is no where near the first Lake Tahoe trip via BAIC. I think Ray organizes snowboarding meets. Good luck though, sounds fun.

Count me in. I'll have to take it easy on the slopes this season with the stupid shoulder, but I still can't wait to get back out there!

I haven't been in the snow in like 15 years. I bought a ski rack and snow gear last year, but didn't make it. I promised that I would make it this year, but I don't think I'll be able to

Super 8er..........60 bones a night.................can smoke as many blunts as you want in the hottub. Never got in any trouble there. One time we had 2 rooms, and it was like we were little giddy kids. we spent 2 hrs ****ing with each other because 2 of us wanted to sleep, and 2 wanted to party but not without the other 2. LOL. Anyways I just remember pulling open their bathroom window while my buddy was taking a **** and dousing him with a huge cold water/ice bucket.

I stayed there i think, the huge L shaped place with pool in the middle of the big lawn. I paid $40 in the snow season, but that was the crappy part of the season.

Cool place though...just call dibs on the bathroom after you eat at that taqueria!
