Unhappy Update on Stolen STI

Fellas:

I got a call yesterday... my car was located in Newark.. at some chopshop... I went to the towe yard and took some pics. there were three STIs there and a WRX didn't take pic of the WRX... but the one STI looks like it was stolen from a dealer lot... the sticker price was still on the side window. The black one is mine btw. Meeting the appraiser tomorrow morning at the towe yard in Newark... wish me luck.

I'll post more pics tomorrow.

Dude, I want you on the jury if my car ever gets stolen and I go loco on the thief.

The problem with this country is that most folks seem to feel more sorry for the criminal (car thief) than the victim (car owner). Usually the criminal's mom makes a statement on tv about how her son never did anything bad, was coxed into stealing by his friends, and how it's not his fault.

I say to that.

The STi has HIDs right? I can't believe the other car still has them on. They must've got busted before they were able to strip it.

Good luck on everything.

In other news, seems the system is finally coming around:

yeah... if I ever catch that guy.. I will damage him... worst than that blue STI. I met with the appraiser this morning and he actually told me that's the most Subarus he has ever seen stolen... he rarely deals with Subaru theft...

the car might be repairable he said... hopefully subaru will charge an arm and a leg for the electrical work and they just totall the car as opposed to fixing it up. He coudn't get the car started... so I guess I'll have to wait for the car to get to subaru for some engine test, tranny, etc. ARG those Low lives man... hope karma get them before I do.

well, I will most like be investing in lojack whether I get a new one or end up with a repaired one... they took my one shoe... ARG! what good is one shoe....

Later guys

Thats what i'm talking about. If I heard anyone trying to break into/steal my car (and I will hear it cuz my car is parked about 3 feet from my bedroom window) I would be out the front door with my S&W in hand.

Do you know how they got it started? Just hot-wire or what?
