05 STI bumper beam HELP!

I just bought a Charge speed Front bumper I had it painted and when I went to put it on today it wouldn't fit. The bumper beam gets in the way. Does anyone know if you can remove the bumper beam or what. What should I do?

I may be wrong, but you either have to cut your stock one, or buy a JDM bumper beam.

Do I have to cut off my bumper beam to put on the Jdm, or is it just bolts? I just found a jdm bumper for $259 any good prices for Jdm bumper beam. Damn I was in disgust when I tried to put it on bad enough I had to wait for the paint to dry. When I put on my Blitz front mount on my old wrx I had to use a plasma cutter to cut through the bumper beam. Never again hopefully I can just buy a Jdm bumper beam and it's just as easy as un bolting and bolting. Anyone that knows let me know. Thanks guys

Don't mean to sound like a jerk but you should've research and ask before buying the body kit. $259 for a JDM bumper beam is a lot. I see it goes for about $159...

Man, you got some homework to do on your car. The JDM bumper beam replaces your USDM bumper beam. If you buy the JDM one, then you don't have to cut ur stock. Usually most body kit will require the JDM bumper beam.

JDM beam = less mess and hassle, light weight, but it's not strong enough to take the 5mph hit

Cutting the stock one = more work, might f**k up, but it can take the 5mph hit...

Yes, Bumper and bumper beam is two different things I know this. What I was saying was I would rather cut the bumper beam then the bumper itself. As far as the blitz frount mount on the last car both had to be cut to accomidate the core and pipeing.
