Question Lights Flashing Question

Hello i have a 99 outback sport 2.2non turbo and i just cleaned the iacv and i did unplug the battery and now when i plug everything back in the light are flashing as if i had the hazards on any idea what is causing this

ok this is getting really anoying its just the brake lights on the rear and dashboard flashing even with the car off no keys in the ignition any ideas

You say it's the brake lights and the dashboard illumination that are flashing? Flashing in a steady manner the way hazards do? Or more erratic?

Well its like hazards with a pause every once in a while.
I actually found out that on some subarus you have to unplug the negative terminal and turn the ignition on and then plug it back in in order to clear that, its some kind of safety or security feature. Anyways that worked for me i was going insane for a while. Thanks for you reply i really appreciate it
