I bought a used radar detector from Lurk under the impression that it was an iX as he stated in his add, that he had the box and all of the paperwork for it. It didnt come with a box or the paperwork. It came in a plastic zip lock bag with the detector and the power cord. I didnt mind at the time i really didnt need the box but now after finding out from Escort and spending even more money that the unit is not an IX, well maybe the casing is but the internals are not. I had problems with it from day one and when i contacted lurk with a question i never got a reply back. I did multiple tests to the unit to check if it even worked and Nope it didn't. I had friends who are cops take time out of their work day to help me test it and now i have had to come out of my pocket even more just to find out from escort that I indeed got scammed. If this had been a unit that was "upgraded" from an I to IX that should have been at the very least told to me when upon purchase, let alone disclosed in the Add on iClub. I have now spent more than i would have to buy a brand new unit and im still waiting to get the unit back from Escort. I feel like i was scammed big time.

You should think about what I said to you over the PM before you start accusing people of being a "scammer". I told you I bought the radar detector used and it was working fine. Do you honestly think I had the time or inclination to swap out sensitive electronics and replace them with non working ones? All for a couple hundred bucks (which you price haggled over). Give me a break.

But in the end I'm glad you got it fixed by the factory and are now enjoying your 9500ix.

The point of buyer and seller feedback is to put what happened, good or bad. I stated what happened and what I went through.
I like how you make the "Haggle" comment. Every single item I have sold, the price was "haggled" over and sold for less than what I asked for and the ITEM WAS ALWAYS WHAT I SAID IT WAS.

Yes Thank you I am too glad that the unit is working. I did have to spend more than normal and basically bought new unit.
